Kirk Petrophysics works to continually improve performance in all these areas. How this is accomplished will vary in each country, but will be given equal visibility and commitment across all operations.
Our successful HSE performance has been made possible through the leadership and teamwork of all employees.
Maintaining outstanding Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance is a core value of Kirk Petrophysics.
Adopted in 2008, a new policy on the Disposal and Handling of our chemicals was applied across all operation units and our equipment is stored through locally adapted policies, procedures and management systems.
HSE performance is also a key area of focus for our customers. Our improvement initiatives are often implemented in conjunction with customers.
Health
Continue to improve the quality of occupational health management by:
- Controlling more effectively the health risks arising from our activities
- Using awareness campaigns to support healthy lifestyles.
Safety
Emphasize personal responsibility for safety in all that we do by:
- Raising awareness through training and communication to reduce risk and prevent incidents
- Learning and sharing more from near misses and observed unsafe behavior.
Environment
Improve environmental management by:
- Carrying out environmental assessments in all areas we are operating
- Encouraging the development of management systems aligned with standard regulated procedure performance.
Monitor HSE performance more effectively by:
- Reviewing incidents more thoroughly and sharing lessons learned to improve performance.
